i wrote this poem after i watched a stranger die.
he was 26. car wreck. i tried to save him before the emts arrived. head on collision with the truck in front of me. i saw him cross the yellow lines and hit the other vehicle. his face….demolished….it took removing 3 out of 4 doors of his car and eventually the roof before they could extract him. when they pulled him out, his legs broke off like twigs and hung on by stringy ligaments....

today marks my 4 month vegan anniversary
